Time Cards lets hourly building staff record weekly hours from the mobile app and gives property teams a dashboard where approvers can review, approve, or deny submissions. Built to be the primary way to track routine labor, Time Cards makes recording time simpler and less tedious for engineers so they can spend less time on administrative work and more time on building operations. The feature complements work-order and inspection labor tracking while providing structured time types, a complete activity log of edits and status changes, and a single place for approvers to triage submitted weeks, helping teams reconcile staffing and speed up payroll processing.

  • Record weekly hours at the building level with support for multiple time types such as regular time, overtime, and training.
  • Enforce consistent, auditable entries with features such as 15-minute increments and a configurable daily maximum.
  • Capture multiple blocks on the same day by letting employees add separate entries under different time types so each block is tracked independently.
  • Maintain a full activity log of who added or changed time and when, so approvers and payroll teams have an auditable trail.
  • Provide a single approval workflow where approvers can triage, approve, or deny weeks and add adjustments when necessary.

Time Cards are designed for staff who routinely submit weekly hours rather than ad hoc labor tied to specific work orders. It provides a consistent mobile and dashboard experience so both employees and approvers work with the same data and see the same statuses. 

Permissions and visibility

Building team members (Security Manager, Building Engineer, Engineer Manager) will be able to submit hours and appear on the dashboard Timecards list once their user profile has been enabled for Time Cards.

Dashboard overview (property team members)

  • Review submitted weeks and open an employee’s week to inspect daily entries, time types, and notes.
  • Approve or deny submitted time cards to finalize weeks for payroll.
  • Triage pending submissions using a Needs approval view and approval table.
  • Add or adjust hours when necessary, recording additional time under a different time type so entries remain distinct.
  • View a complete activity log that records who added or edited time and when to support audits and reconciliation.
  • Manage approver roles and permissions and configure site-level time types and settings.
  • Filter and sort submitted weeks for efficient payroll processing and reporting.

App overview (building team members)

  • Select the week to complete, add daily time entries, and save progress as you go.
  • Record multiple blocks on the same day by adding each block under a different time type (for example, regular and overtime).
  • Submit the week for approval; the submitted week is locked until an approver acts on it.
