Assigning QR Codes to Equipment
Assigning pieces of equipment a QR code makes finding equipment and creating On-Demand Tasks for those pieces of equipment as easy as possible for your team. In this article we will discuss:
Prior to associating QR codes with equipment items, you will need to create QR codes and add them to each piece of equipment. You can use any QR code generator for this, but please reach out to your CSM if you would like support with creating bulk QR codes.

Assigning QR Codes To Equipment Items
Once a piece of equipment has been added to the equipment library you can assign it a QR code. Follow these steps for each piece of equipment.
- Add a QR code to the piece of equipment.
- Open your building app.
- Click on the hamburger bars in the upper left corner to open the left-side navigation window.
- Click on Equipment.
- Click on the piece of equipment you want to assign.
- Click Link Asset Tracking Code and your camera will open. Grant the app access to your camera.
- Scan the QR code. Once it is associated, the camera will close and you will be taken back to the equipment overview screen.

Scanning QR Codes to Access Equipment
- Open your building app.
- Click on the hamburger bars in the upper left corner to open the left-side navigation window.
- Click on Equipment.
- Click Scan in the upper right and your camera will open.
- Scan the assigned QR code and you will be taken directly to that piece of equipment in the library.
