Email Builder allows several ways to include images and link to files, like PDFs, in your emails. Choose a button for a strong call-to-action, hyperlinked text for a subtle in-line reference, or a linked image for a visual thumbnail that doubles as a link.
Please Note: Images and files cannot be dragged and dropped directly into the builder — instead, use one of the methods:
Add Links via a Button
Buttons are a clear, visual way to direct readers to a file or URL.
- Drag and drop a button block into the builder or use an existing block, as highlighted in the orange box, and select it to edit
- You can add a URL to the URL field, or select "Link File" highlighted in Blue under the URL, which will open the File Manager
- The File Manager will open so you can upload a new file or select an existing one. Select MyFiles and then select either an existing file from your library or upload a new one by selecting Upload from your device. You will see the upload in progress
- Once uploaded, select insert, and the URL will be updated
Hyperlinked Text
Use this option to embed a link within the body copy without adding a button.
- Highlight the word or words you want to link in the email body
- Click the link icon in the text toolbar (pointed arrow below)
Change the Link Type from URL to File Manager
- Select myFiles
- Select upload and choose a file from your computer. Once the processing completes, you are all set to select 'insert' on the image of your choice.
About the File Manager
All three methods above use the built-in File Manager to browse, upload, and select files.
- Access it from inside the builder via the Browse button on an image placeholder, the Change Image button in the image properties panel, or the Link File option on images and buttons
- Files up to 20MB can be uploaded directly
- Use folders to keep your library organized as it grows
