Seasonal preventive maintenance schedules allow you to run maintenance tasks only during the months when equipment is actively in use. This helps prevent unnecessary work orders during off-season periods and keeps maintenance aligned with real-world operations.
By using seasonal schedules, teams can:
Avoid generating work orders when equipment is not in service
Reduce noise in maintenance queues
Ensure maintenance timing matches seasonal usage patterns
How to Set Up a Seasonal Maintenance Schedule
When creating or editing a Recurring Task Schedule, select the Has Seasonal Schedule? checkbox. From there, you can exclude the months when maintenance should not run by selecting or de-selecting each month.
Once configured, preventive maintenance work orders will only generate during the selected active months.
Seasonal scheduling is ideal for equipment like HVAC systems, outdoor amenities, or any assets that operate only part of the year.
