Questionnaires allow you to collect additional information from users when they make a reservation or submit a specific work order type. This is useful any time a standard submission form isn't enough, for example: when booking an event space that requires setup details, or when a work order type involves specific equipment or access needs. Questionnaire responses appear directly on the reservation or work order detail page, and are included in work order notification emails under Additional Questions.


Creating a New Questionnaire

Follow these steps to create a new Questionnaire:

  1. Navigate to the Property Setup module and click Questionnaires

  2. Click +New Questionnaire

  3. Name the questionnaire and add a description.

  4. Click +Add Custom Question and fill out the form for each question:

    • Question Prompt: this is the question users will see

    • Question Type: Choose from 10+ question types 

    • Question Label: a shortened version of the question for easy reference

  5. Repeat step 4 for each additional question you'd like to add. 

  6. Click Save.

Note: If you need to make changes after saving, you can edit, duplicate, or delete any questionnaire from the Questionnaires section. If you delete a questionnaire, you will also need to remove or replace it from any Work Order Issue Type or Amenity it was attached to.


Attaching a Questionnaire

After creating your Questionnaire, attach it to relevant areas where user input is required:

  • Amenities – Collect additional details when users make a reservation (e.g., guest count, special requests).

  • Work Order Issue Types – Request specific information related to maintenance or service requests (e.g., room number, equipment type, urgency).

To attach to Amenity:

  1. Navigate to Amenity Setup

  2. Select the pencil icon to edit an existing amenity 

  3. Scroll down to the Questionnaire section and select the Questionnaire dropdown.

  4. Save your changes. Now, when users submit reservations, they will be prompted with the questionnaire before submitting

 

To attach to Work Order Issue Type:

  1. Navigate to Work Order Issue Type page

  2. Select the pencil icon to edit an existing issue type (or create a new one).

  3. Select the Questionnaire dropdown.

  4. Save your changes. Now, when users submit work orders, they will be prompted with the questionnaire before submitting
