Dashboard tables in Cove can be customized to show the information most relevant to your team. You can control which columns appear and in what order, toggle between compact and standard row spacing, and save filter and sort combinations as named views to return to quickly. Your column, density, and saved view preferences persist across sessions so you never have to reset them.
Edit Viewable Columns
From any dashboard table with an Edit Columns button in the top right, you can control which columns appear and in what order.
- Click Edit Columns in the upper right corner. A list of columns will appear.
- Click a column name to select or deselect it. Columns are added and removed in real time.
- Click and drag a column name up or down to reorder. Columns reorder in real time.
- Click into the table or the x at the top to close the column editor. Changes are automatically saved to your profile.
To reset these preferences, scroll to the bottom of the column list and click Reset to Defaults.
Saved Views
Save your filters and sort order as named views so you can return to the data you need in one click.
- Saved views are personal to your account and specific to the table where they were created
- When you select a saved view and navigate away, that view will still be active when you return
- Unsaved filter combinations will reset to the table default when you navigate away
- Filter state is reflected in the URL, so you can bookmark a table with a saved view applied and return to it directly
Create a Saved View
- Click Filter and apply your desired filters.
- Click Saved Views and select New view from the dropdown.
- In the Save view window, enter a View Name. The window displays a summary of the filters and sort order that will be captured in this view.
- Click Save.
Select a Saved View
Click Saved Views and select a view from the dropdown. The table will update to reflect the filters and sort order captured in that view.
Your last selected view persists when you navigate away and return to the table. To return to the table's default filters with no saved view applied, click Return to Default.
Update a Saved View
If you have a saved view selected and make changes to the filters, an Unsaved changes indicator will appear.
- Click Update view to overwrite the current saved view with your new filters
- Click Save as new view to save the changes as a separate named view
Delete a Saved View
- Click Saved Views to open the dropdown.
- Click the trash icon next to the view you want to delete.
- Confirm by clicking Delete in the window that appears.
Download Reports
From any table with a download icon in the upper right, you can export the current table view. Downloaded reports respect your saved edited and reordered column preferences.
Compact and Standard Views
See more data on screen with a table density setting that works the way you do.
Toggle between Standard and Compact row spacing to control how much data fits on the screen at once.
- Standard is the default view
- Compact reduces row spacing so more data fits on screen at once.
- Your density preference persists across all tables and sessions until you manually change it
Rows Per Page
Tables default to showing 50 rows per page across both Standard and Compact views. You can change this to 10, 25, 50, or 100 using the rows per page selector in the upper right of any table. Your selection persists across navigation and sessions so you do not have to reset it each time you return to a table.
