The Cove Kiosk, when set up for Event Check-In, provides a dedicated event attendance experience for your property. It can be accessed on an iPad through the Cove Kiosk app or by opening kiosk.cove.is in a web browser. In Event Check-In mode, guests can check in upon arrival using the event check-in screen, including by scanning a QR code. Managers can also configure the Kiosk for a specific event during setup.

Setting up the Cove Kiosk Tablet App

Download the Cove Kiosk app or open the URL in a browser
- If using an iPad: Download the kiosk app
- If using a browser on a tablet:
- Open a web browser on your tablet
- Navigate to this URL: https://kiosk.cove.is/

Log in to the Cove Kiosk Tablet App
- Open the Cove Kiosk Tablet App
- Log in using any Building Administrator's email address
- Retrieve the login code from your email and enter it when prompted

Configure the App
Follow the prompts in the app to configure the tablet:- Select Tablet Type: event
- Select Site: choose your building
- Select Event: choose the specific event

Grant permissions for the app to use your camera.
This is required so that your guests can scan their personalized QR code to check in. Depending on your tablet's settings, you will either be automatically prompted to grant permission, or you will need to grant permission manually.

- Go to Settings Privacy
- Tap Camera
- Scroll to find the Cove Kiosk Tablet app
- Tap to grant camera permission
5. If you are using the Kiosk in a web browser, switch the browser to full screen mode.
Set the browser to full screen or kiosk-style display mode so the Kiosk App fills the entire tablet screen and reduces visible browser controls.
- Look for a full screen icon in the browser menu.
- Open the browser's menu and select options such as Full Screen, Hide Toolbar, or Add to Home Screen.
- On some tablets, opening the page from a home screen shortcut can create a more app-like full-screen experience.
The exact steps vary by tablet and browser.
Using the App During Events
- Set up the iPad at the entrance to your event.
- As guests arrive, they will click Scan QR Code to be taken to the camera.
- Guests can use the QR code in their event RSVP or on the top right of their home screen.
- Guests will scan their QR code, their attendance will be recorded, and the app will automatically return to the Scan QR Code screen.
Setting Up a New Event On Your Tablet
Once an event is set up in your tablet app, you'll need to exit that event and reconfigure the app for any new events. Be sure to follow the steps below each time you host a new event.
- Locate the Powered by Cove logo at the bottom of the tablet screen.
- Rapidly tap the logo 10 times. This will bring you back to the event setup screen.
- Choose and configure a different event.
