Password Setup
By default Cove uses six digit login codes for both the app and the dashboard. If you would prefer to set up a password, please follow the directions in this article.
Password Setup for Mobile App
- Open your building app and enter your email address.
- Click Use Password Instead on the login screen.
- On the next screen, click Forgot password? Reset Your Password.
- Find the email sent to you from Cove and click Verify Email.
- Choose and confirm your password.
- Click Change Password.
- Reopen your building app and choose Use Password Instead.
Enter your new password.
Note: If you log in using a code after setting up a password, your password will be reset and you will need to create a new one using the same steps.
Password Setup for Dashboard
- Navigate to https://manage.cove.is/
- Enter your work email and click Login.
- Click Use Password Instead.
Check your email for an email with the subject line Your Password Reset Request.
Note: These emails typically arrive within 10-15 seconds. Be sure to check your spam folder(s) if you do not see it in your inbox.
- Open the email and click Verify Email.
- In the new tab, add and confirm your password.
- Navigate to https://manage.cove.is/
- Enter your new password.
