Password Setup

By default Cove uses six digit login codes for both the app and the dashboard. If you would prefer to set up a password, please follow the directions in this article.

Password Setup for Mobile App

  1. Open your building app and enter your email address.
  2. Click Use Password Instead on the login screen.
  3. On the next screen, click Forgot password? Reset Your Password.
  4. Find the email sent to you from Cove and click Verify Email.
  5. Choose and confirm your password.
  6. Click Change Password.
  7. Reopen your building app and choose Use Password Instead.
  8. Enter your new password.


Note: If you log in using a code after setting up a password, your password will be reset and you will need to create a new one using the same steps.

Password Setup for Dashboard

  1. Navigate to https://manage.cove.is/
  2. Enter your work email and click Login.
  3. Click Use Password Instead.
  4. Check your email for an email with the subject line Your Password Reset Request.

    Note: These emails typically arrive within 10-15 seconds. Be sure to check your spam folder(s) if you do not see it in your inbox.

  5. Open the email and click Verify Email.
  6. In the new tab, add and confirm your password.
  7. Navigate to https://manage.cove.is/
  8. Enter your new password.
